Terms of service

Last updated 11 October 2026

These terms apply to services by Therapy On The Go (Pty) Ltd t/a Hazchem On The Go. Business clients are also bound by their signed service agreement, which prevails if there is a conflict. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

1. What we are

We are a courier and logistics operator holding ICASA Unreserved Postal Service Certificate 0332/UPS/SEP/2025. We are not a pharmacy, wholesaler, laboratory or rental company. For Health Cart orders, the pharmacy, lab or provider you choose is the seller, issues the invoice for the goods or tests, and remains responsible for them.

2. Payment collection as agent

Where you pay through Health Cart, we collect the seller's amount as their payment agent and pass it on. Our own charges are a transparent delivery fee and service fee shown before you pay. We never charge a percentage of the value of your medicine.

3. Medicines we deliver

  • Schedule 0 to Schedule 5 medicines may be delivered where the dispensing pharmacy allows it. Schedule 6 and above are excluded.
  • Where the law requires an original paper prescription, our crew collects it at the door before handover.
  • Medicines travel sealed in opaque bags in closed vehicles. Fridge lines travel in pre-conditioned cooler boxes; motorbikes carry ambient lines only.
  • We act as a transporter under the pharmacy's licence and never store medicines.

4. Handover

  • We hand over only to a person aged 14 or older at the agreed address, who must give the one-time PIN (OTP) sent to the patient.
  • We may ask for ID where the pharmacy requires it.
  • If no eligible person is available, or the OTP cannot be given, the parcel is returned to the pharmacy automatically. A failed-delivery fee may apply where the failure is the customer's responsibility.

5. Service levels

Slot times (for example, standard 2-4 hours, express within 90 minutes, STAT within 90 minutes) are targets we work to meet. Weather, road closures, unrest and other events outside our control may cause delays. Business clients receive the service credits set out in their agreement.

6. Prohibited items

We do not carry Category A infectious substances, dry ice, compressed gases or other dangerous goods unless agreed in writing and packed by a trained shipper, nor illegal items, cash or items not properly packed for transport.

7. Prices and surcharges

Published prices and surcharges are on our pricing page. Business prices exclude VAT; consumer prices include VAT. We may change prices on notice; confirmed bookings keep their quoted price.

8. Liability

Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the amounts in the applicable service agreement or, for consumer deliveries, to the delivery fee and the declared value of the goods up to the standard consignment value, except where the law does not allow a limit. We are not liable for the quality, suitability or clinical outcome of medicines, tests or equipment supplied by sellers.

9. Complaints and law
